What am I missing with the Alexa Show 5 that it won't turn off? Apple Homekit on my iPhone will turn it off and on no issues at all. tell LG to turn off office television' plus a few others but it will not turn it off. I have used 'Alexa, turn off office TV' and 'Alexa. It keeps saying 'Sorry TV doesn't Support that or Check network connection and try again'. create a routine to add in my Xbox Series X and all done.
So I call the TV by my name and it turns on, great. If I call it by any other name (Office TV, LG TV) it will not turn on. It will only turn on if I call it by my name. I have both LG skills installed (basic and complete) and the TV is wired into to the home network. I can turn the TV on with the Alexa Show. The TV has Alexa on it which is fine and the TV has been discovered by the Alex Show 5 and also in my iPhone App. I have the above TV (UK based) with an Alexa Show in my home.
